ABILENE, Texas - June 9, 2011 - O'Reilly Auto Parts, in association with Big Country Car Clubs, is hosting its fifth annual car show on Saturday, June 18 to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
The general public is invited to attend this event sponsored by the O'Reilly Auto Parts on South First St. Those entering their cars in the show are not required to pay an entry fee, but donations to MDA will be accepted. Registration for the show starts at 8 a.m. and lasts until judging begins at noon. Awards will be announced at 3 p.m. Participants and spectators can enjoy free hot dogs and drinks, live entertainment, and glancing over the multiple classes of cars that will be in the show.
"The funds raised from the O'Reilly car shows are of great service to our organization," MDA representative Lori Seymore said. "We've seen the support of citizens in The Big Country time and time again, and we greatly encourage everyone to come by and support the car show as well."
MDA is the nonprofit health agency dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases by funding worldwide research. Donated funds support MDA's services locally and nationally, including medical clinics staffed with specialists in neuromuscular disease like The Neurology Center in Wichita Falls.
